New York, NY – QBE today completed the in-housing of its Auto, Property and General Liability claims to further differentiate the service it provides to its distribution partners and customers. The process concluded with the onboarding of more than 150 employees from Sedgwick Claims Management Services, which had been handling a portion of those claims as part of an outsourcing agreement. Sedgwick will continue to service QBE's workers' compensation and TPA-related claims.

"Having Auto, Property, and General Liability claims back in house allows us to build stronger direct relationships with QBE distribution partners and customers. Meanwhile, Sedgwick's scale, expertise, and superior technology in Workers' Compensation will allow QBE to offer market-leading Claims solutions to its customers in that line of business."
After announcing the plan on August 29, 2016, QBE and Sedgwick have been working closely together to ensure the transition went smoothly.
